  2. Moonlight Beach, Encinitas

I never get tired of watching the sun go to sleep. This place is gorgeous.

  3. Farmers Market In Front Of Our House FTW

Every Wednesday, Kim and I walk down the hill to the Encinitas Farmers Market held at the train station. It takes about two minutes.

We arrive to live music, great people, and an array of delicious food (mostly organic) to choose from at an affordable price. It definitely makes it easier to eat well.

  4. Layers, and Layers

It’s pretty cool to be running this morning on a dirt path, listening to Ernest Hemingway, and seeing trains pass to my right with an ocean behind it.

  5. Goodnight Encinitas

Chill little night, Blue Ribbon Pizza (with green stuff on it!) and a trip to Whole Foods.

  6. CAKE, Live In Concert - California

Our second time seeing Cake live and it definitely will not be the last. Del Mar races seems like a good time too. We’ll be back—soon.

  7. Movies In California, Not Bad

So they have these theaters out here, called Cinepolis’s—or, Cinepoli? Anyway, here’s their site.

Amazing recliner seats, a full menu and bar, and some absurdly delicious chocolate popcorn flavor that made Kim and Jesse forget that we were there for a movie.

The sound was ridiculously crisp, and the screen was massive and clear. The only negative is that the waiters can be distracting if you have an open tab with them during the movie. So I say, order two (or three if you’re feeling frisky) of the drinks you want up front, and just ask them to bring one out every half hour.

The prices aren’t easy on the wallet either, but a once in a special occasion type thing is perfect for this place. Luckily, we chose and enjoyed watching very much, The Dark Knight Rises.

  8. Found a great place today, hopefully the owner liked us enough. Cross your fingers!

    This is the hard part.

Kim and I found a place we really, really liked—and now we have to wait to see if the owner liked us enough to let us live there. It’s funny, we’ll find out tomorrow, which is also our last day with a booked hotel. With Comic Con coming to town, it’ll be tough to find a hotel room.

So is it a stroke of luck, or are we screwed? ;)
